SasoriXReader Strings of Time Part 5

"I see you let the girl escape.Thhat's..rather unusual for you..to be so merciful like that~"Orochimaru said.

"....She wasn't worth killing...I don't want her dead just  yet...I..I need her.."Sasori says.

"You need her?For what?"Orochimaru asks.Sasori smirked and stared at his partner.

"I need her..for my collection..She'll make such a great puppet..don't you think?"Sasori says.Orochimaru's eyes widen in surprise.

"Really?Your own best friend?"he asks.

"I've told you many times before...My heart is just like my body...friends...memories..feelings...They all mean nothing to me now..All I care about now is getting ______ into my collection.."Sasori says.

"You really think she's that worthy?"Oorochimaru asks.Sasori chuckles.

"Not in the slightest at her current level but...I'm going to change that.."he says.Orochimaru smirks.

"I see...So you're going to hunt her down,train her,then when she's strong enough..Make her one of your special human puppets..."he says.

"Yes but..you got one part wrong.."

"Oh..Which part?"

"We're not hunting down anyone.._____ is coming to us.."Sasori said,a flicker of madness twinkled in his eye and a small grin on his face.Orochimaru had never seen him like that.Wanting someone so badly that it made him mad..

"How do you know that she is coming?"Orochimaru asks.Sasori's madness dissipates and he looks up at the starry sky.

"Because..She hasn't changed one bit..Her emotions still get the better of her and she loves revenge.."he says.Orochimaru sits down against a tree and closes his eyes.

"Well...I guess if you're set on having _____ as a puppet..Then I can't get her body then...what a pity..I was hoping on being able to seduce Itachi to get his body.."Orochimaru sighs.Sasori watches as Orochimaru fell asleep,trying to restrain himself from poisoning him and slitting his snakey throat in his sleep.Luckily Sasori was good at that..So he kept it to himself.

It felt like you were running forever.Your body ached and you had to stop twice to try heal yourself with the little chakra you had.Soon you were back in familiar surroundings.You were close to them..you could feel it but then..you gave out.Just like that.A cry of pain pushed it's way out your throat and you collapsed to the ground on your side.

Every muscle,nerve and bone in your body screamed in pain and you couldn't go any further.

"No..I can't..stop here.."you growl at yourself.You got on your hands and knees and started to crawl,despite your screaming muscles.You eventually got to your feet again and wobbled a few feet,stopping against a tree to catch your breath."I'm...not going to let..this stop me..I will..avenge Mitskuni.."you say,collapsing once more,this time slipping out of consciousness.

Sasori hopped down from his branch and landed right next to you.He smiled and rubbed your cheek gently before taking you in his arms and running off into the night.

*Splash*

You instantly open your eyes and cough as water splashes your voice and drenching your clothes.

"What the hell?!"you cough.

"That woke you up,finally."somebody says.You flip your wet bangs off your face so you could see who exactly nearly drowned you in your sleep.And there in front of you stood Sasori holding a now empty bucket(Dont ask where he got it from!!) and he was smirking at you.

"Sasori?!Why the hell did you do that?Are you crazy?!"you snap.

"You were taking to long to wake up..I hate waiting so I figured I'd wake you up myself.."he says.You glare at him and stand up.

"You..killed him.."you say.Sasori tilts his head.

"Who?I've killed many people.You're going to have to be more specific.."he says.You clench your fists tightly.

"You killed Mitskuni!"you yell."I wont forgive you!"You charge at him and slam your fist into his left cheek,causing him to skid back a little but he didn't flinch.He seemed to smirk more,making you even more angry.You stormed over to him and grabbed the collar of his cloak,raising your fist back and slamming it into his face again...and..again..and again...before throwing him to the ground.Then crawling on took of him,pinning his arms down with your knees,you slammed several punches into his face again.

"You killed him!You did it!You!I'll never forgive you!You jackass!I hate you!"you say,tears flooding your eyes more and more with each punch.After about an hour of punching the crap outta Sasori,you put your fist down and wrap your hands around his throat.

"Oh..are you going to try to kill me now?"he asks.You try to avoid making eye contact with him but you fail.It was as if his eyes drew you in and you were staring back into his eyes as your tears dripped onto his slightly cracked face.

"I..."you mumble,trembling as his eyes stared into your very soul.

"I see....you aren't..Well...I guess you're finished then.."he says,sitting up and tossing you right off him.You fall onto your back,not even bothering to move when or fight back when Sasori crawled over and loomed above you."What's wrong?Are you tired?"he smirks.You turn your head away from him.

"Tch..what a shame..You know I'm a puppet..I felt none of your punches..I honestly thought you had remembered that little fact.."he says.His left hand travels down your arm and grabs your right hand tightly.You wince in pain as he squeezed it.

"Ow!Stop it!"you yell.Sasori smirks and pulls you to your feet.

"Such a girl you are ______.Look at what you did to yourself.."he says,easing his grip on your hand and taking out some bandages from his back pouch."Hold still.."he says.You watch with confusion as he wraps your hand gently in the bandages.You both were silent as he did..You wondered why he seemed so crazy one minute then so gentle the next.It was a little weird,like he had two personalities or something.

"....Why...?"you mumble.Sasori makes a little hum sound in acknowledgment and you continue."Why did you...let me live..?"you ask.Sasori stops wrapping your hand and looks at you.

"What would I have gained...from killing an old friend..?"he asks.You blush a little but that doesn't really soothe your anger.

"Why did you kill Mitskuni..?"you ask.

"....."

"Well?"Sasori sighed and looked at a nearby river.

"Tell me...did you...love him?"he asks.Your heart began to beat so fast you thought it might pop out of your chest and sucker punch Sasori himself!

"I...I...I was his Sensei...nothing more.."you say.

"That's not what he told me.."Sasori says.You stare at him.

"What he told you?When?What did he say?!"you ask.Sasori went silent..Remembering the words that burn within him.~~

"I told you..It's no use in struggling..You're poisoned..It's over.You have at most three days left.."Sasori says,looking down at Mitskuni.Mitskuni coughed and looked back up at him.

"Miss..._____..I..must protect her.."he says.

"Why?What point is there?There's nothing you can even do in your current state!"Sasori snapped.Mitskuni stood up and held up his kunai,trying his best not to collapse right back down.

"You..you wouldn't know anything...about..love...and what it's like...The need to protect the person that means the world to you...You wouldn't understand.."he says.Sasori's eyes widen a bit.

"L-love?Don't tell me!You're in love with _____?!That's nonsense!Why would she ever love a wimp like you?I'll just be doing her a favor by killing you.."Sasori growls.Mitskuni shakes his head and gives Sasori a look of sympathy.

"The way you sound....it sounds as if you yourself are in love with _____.."he says.

"Don't be ridiculous brat!I love no one!"Sasori snaps.

"Then...why do you..get so defensive about her?Admit it...you're in denial...you love ______ just as much as I do..but you know..You are the one who she will probably never love again...Seeing you this way..it's impossible.."Mitskuni says.

"I've had enough of you and your assumptions.Time to die!"Sasori yells,stabbing Mitskuni through the heart with his own poisoned blade.."It's...not true.."Sasori whispers to him.Mitskuni coughs up blood all over the cement ground but grabs onto Sasori's sleeve.

"P-please....if you really do love..._____...protect her....and admit your feelings to her...before it's...too..late.."he says,slumping over.Sasori's eyes widen and he pulls his sword out.

"Whatever...brat.."

"Hello?Sasori...You there?"you say,poking his cheek.Sasori blinks a couple times and shakes his head.

"I'm fine..."he says,tightening his grip on your hand again.You wince again and manage to snatch your hand away.

"Stop it!It hurts!"you say.Sasori stares at you and turns away.

"Sorry....Let's just go now.."he says,walking away.You rub your hand and follow him.Sorry?Did you hear him right?Did Sasori just..apologize to you?What's going on with him?He seems..so...confused..

**Sasori's Mind**

I'm so confused...I don't get it.Why did I let her live?Why didn't I kill her?What did Mitskuni mean?I don't...love her..I want to make her my puppet!People who are in love don't wish for such things but I do!That's proof enough that I am as cold inside as on the outside...So...why do I feel this way..when I am around her?Why did I kill Mitskuni.?Could it be that I possibly did it out of...Jealousy?I just want ______ all to myself.She was mine first!WHy should I have to share her with anybody else?!She will be my new puppet and then..belong to me alone...That's it!I'm not in love with her or anything.I just want her!...For a puppet that is....Nothing more!...Nothing...more...
