DenmarkXReader-Just Haven't Met You Yet~

Denmark sighed as he read the text message from his  now ex-girlfriend.Apparently she wanted to see other people and decided it would be the best thing to break up with him via text message.This made Denmark slightly angry,frustrated and heartbroken all at once.Honestly,he didn't know what to feel.

This had all happened once before to him so it wasn't like it was new or anything.All the texts read the same thing too.'Sorry,you're just not my type.'Well then what the hell is your type woman?!Denmark thought to himself but alas,all he could do was sigh a heavy sigh and shove his cold hands in is pockets as he walked down the snow covered sidewalk.

I'm not surprised, not everything lasts
I've broken my heart so many times, I stopped keeping track
Talk myself in, I talk myself out
I get all worked up, then I let myself down

It always happened..so many times that Denmark wondered why he was even doing it all over again.Why did he keep putting  himself in these situations when these things kept happening.His heart had been broken so many times that he figured it was impossible to fix at this point.Maybe he just kept waiting for the right girl to come..Though deep down he knew..she never would...but..thats what he had to believe.It was the only thing he could to stay sane.

I tried so very hard not to lose it

Denmark smiled softly and looked upwards at the grey white sky.Snow fell gently on his warm cheeks like tiny cold kisses.He knew that girl would come for him one day.One day he would eventually find her.She'll fix his heart and keep it safe with her always.She'll smile only for him and love only him.This thought made Denmark grin uncontrollably.

He grinned as he imagined what she would be like.Sweet,pretty,caring,and very loving.Staying by his side through the toughest situations.Loving him for who he was..

Little did Denmark know,a girl named _____ was dreaming on the same star.She had just got a text message from her now ex-boyfriend saying that he had found somebody else and that it was over between them._____ wanted to cry but she knew her tears would surely freeze to her cheeks in this cold weather so she silently walked with one hand in her pocket and one tightly gripped onto the handle of her dog's leash.

Though _____ wanted to give up and finding the right guy,she didn't.Now matter how many times she got her heart broken she knew,one day,a loving caring guy would walk into her life and repair it.He would treat her like a princess,love her like a wife and always protect her.He'd love her for her and never leave her side.Though ______ knew that the chance of finding mr.dreamboat was slim to none,she had to hope and dream.What else could a girl like her do?

_____ smiled and blushed slightly as she imagined her dream guy,not even noticing that her grip on her dog's leash was loosening and soon it was fully dropped,letting her dog take off down the sidewalk.Shocked_______ quickly snapped out of her thoughts and took over after him,calling his name repeatedly though the dog did not slow down.

~~~Your P.O.V~~

"Wait!Berwald!!Heel boy!!"you called as you chased after your large canine companion,pushing people out your way,trying not to loose sight of him.

Berwald didn't listen to your commands and kept running his way,until stopping at a corner.You thought that was just your chance to grab him until you saw Berwald looking back at you,as if to make sure you were following him.Once he was sure,he started running again,crossing the street,luckily people slowed down for him and he managed to cross safely.You however ran after him like a lunatic,nearly getting hit by every car that passed you.Jeez..today really must not be your day at all!

~~Denmark's P.O.V~~

Denmark walked solemnly,having no idea where he was gonna go next.He didn't really feel like going home just yet,there would be to many reminders of him and his new ex girlfriend so he figured he might as well stroll around for a bit.

As he walked however,he noticed a large dog running towards him at high speeds and a girl chasing after him.Before Denmark had enough time to move,the large canine was in front of him just staring into his eyes with deep intimidating blue ones.These eyes shook Denmark too his core.And here he was,about to be mauled by a ferocious animal and all he wanted to do now was just daydream a little longer about his never gonna happen girlfriend.

Well..he might as well go out thinking about her anyway..Well at least that's what he thought until a girl with long (h/c) hair and dazzling (e/c) eyes caught up to the dog and grabbed him by his collar.Denmark stared at the girl as if he was in a trance,she was the most beautiful woman he had ever laid his blue eyes on.

~~~Your P.O.V~~

"Berwald!!There you are you bad dog!"you said as you picked up the leash once more.Berwald didn't seem to hear you though,he seemed to be intently focused on the person that was standing in front of you.Confused,you looked at the person as well,immediately being trapped in a sea of blue.

Soon you found yourself staring right into the eyes of a tall blonde man with gravity defying hair.You could barely turn away from him,he was so handsome to you until the man blinked,releasing you from your trance.

"I-Is this your dog?"the man asks you.You quickly nod and look down at Berwald.

"Y-yes...this is my dog..Berwald..who was being bad all of sudden.."you say,aiming the last part like a knife at your dog.Berwald's ears drooped slightly and he turned his gaze from the man to you then to the ground,hanging his head slightly in shame.

"Well he's very big..."the man says with a smile.You look back at him and nod.

"Yes..but he's very gentle..I really don't know what's gotten into him today.."you reply.The man shrugs.

"Well..who knows..maybe he smelled something in the air he liked..the most important thing is that you got him back.."You nod and turn slightly to walk away,though you really didn't want to.

"Yes..well...it seems you stopped him so thank you.."you say with a wave.

"Yeah..no problem.."the man says,turning and going his way as well.

You sighed as you pulled on for Berwald to come.Those blue eyes still burning into your head,though you knew he couldn't possibly be the one for you.Though it would be nice if he was..you thought.As you trudged along,you heard Berwald start to whine a little.You looked down at him to see what was the matter and once he got your attention,he pulled on the leash the opposite way.Though you simply pulled harder and practically dragged the dog home.

~~Denmark's P.O.V~~

Denmark sighed as he looked out the window of his house at the falling snow.He couldn't get that girl out of his mind.The way her long (h/c) hair flowed freely behind her,the way her (e/c) eyes sparkled as they stared into him.She was so beautiful that he couldn't stop thinking about her.He even had the urge to go out and find her but he knew..she probably wasn't the girl for him.

There was no way she would  go out with a goof ball with him with strange gravity defying hair.So he simply turned on the radio beside him and listened to the song that played.It was 'Haven't met you yet by Michael Bublé.It was one of Denmark's favorite songs and he quietly sang along with the lyrics.

Denmark tapped his foot in beat to the music and tilted his head back slightly,closing his eyes and thinking about the girl he had met.What if..she was the one?

Suddenly..his eyes snapped open and he stood up.Yes..that was it!She was and he had to go find her now.Denmark nodded and quickly slipped on his jacket.

~~Your P.o.V~~

You gazed out at the falling snow from your window.You were still thinking of that boy.He seemed so..you couldn't even describe it.You were so deep in your thoughts that you almost didn't realize that Berwald had been tugging on the ends of your pants for about thirty minutes.

You looked at him and scratched the back of his ear with a smile.Normally Berwald loved this but this time he pulled away and simply pulled on your pants until you were up from your chair where he nudged you from there to the door.

"Outside?You wann go out?But you were just out an hour ago.."you say to him.Berwald stared at you intently and with a sigh,you pulled on your jacket before opening the door.Instantly,Berwald ran out and took off.

Your eyes widen and you quickly take off after him.What had gotten into him today?

Denmark quickly took off into the snow,running as fast as he could,not knowing where to even go.But he couldn't stop.He kept running until he was sweating,despite the temperature being below zero.He ran until something huge smacked right into him,sending him flying onto his back into the snow.

He smiled as he saw two familiar blue eyes,looming above him.Surely it was that girl's dog again..meaning she wasn't far behind him.

Hearing her voice approaching,Denmark quickly got back to his feet and grabbed the dog's leash.Smiling with every action.Soon the girl was in sight and Denmark felt his heart jump several feet.He couldn't stop smiling,though he had just met this girl over an hour ago.He stared at her figure as she approached him,clearly sweating slightly herself.

When the girl was standing only a few feet away from Denmark he could see her shocked expression on her face.

"Y-you?"she asked.Denmark blushed a tad bit and walked over to her.

"He's really gone wild today hasn't he?"Denmark asks her as he holds out the leash._____ takes it and smiles shyly at him.

"Yeah..but it seems he really likes you.."she says with a smirk.Denmark shrugged and smiled at _____.

"What can I say..I'm an animal person.."he says.______ laughs and nods her head.

"Yeah,you really are.."soon the two were staring quietly into each other's eyes.Both lost in them.

Berwald soon broke the silence by nudging Denmark closer to you,making both of you blush fiercely.Finally,taking a deep breath,Denmark stared into your eyes with a big grin.

"Would you like to go out for coffee or dinner with me sometime?"he asks.Your heart skips a beat and you nod,grinning back at him.

"I would like that..."you say.Denmark's eyes lit up and he takes your hand.

"Sweet!Im Denmark by the way.."he says.You giggle and grasp his hand as well.

"I'm _______,it's nice to meet you"you say,shaking his hand.Denmark laughs and scratches the back of his head awkwardly.

"You really don't know how nice it is..to finally meet you..~"You smile and nod your head.

"I think I have a sense of how it feels~
