Dark LinkXReader-A Demon's love~Part 21

Link winced in pain as he laid on the ground, injured and still. He tried to sit up so he could at least prop himself up against a tree, but he was in too much pain to move. He laid there, awaiting Navi's return anxiously while pain coursed through his body.

Of course, being vulnerable like this in the Lost Woods would attract evil entities and it did. It was as if the monsters could smell weakness and flocked towards it like insects to a light. As Link laid helplessly on the ground, he heard the heavy stomping of an enemy drawing near. He glanced up and gasped quietly as he saw a very Large Club Moblin appeared, clasping its heavy iron club in hand.

It's glowing red eyes spotted Link nearly instantly and it snorted through it's pig like snout. Link knew of theses enemies all too well and knew the extent of their attacks. Some could even be fatal, especially when one is as open and vulnerable as he was now. He wanted to get up and run or fight, but Link could barely move nor reach his sword that laid only feet from his fingertips.

He began to sweat as the Moblin drew nearer. His army strained painfully to reach his weapon but alas he could not. He was in too much pain. He went limp and looked up at the Moblin whom was now looming over him and raising it's club. He knew this was it for him. The Great Hero of Time comes to an end, struck down by a Moblin in the woods..

"Navi…I'm sorry.."he whispered as he closed his slightly tearful, sky blue, eyes, preparing to accept his fate. However, Link's eyes opened quickly when the Moblin suddenly fell to it's side dead.

He looked up to see Dark Link flicking the green blood of the monster off his sword and sheathing it. Navi flew from over his shoulder and  over to Link quickly.

"Link! Thank goodness we got to you just in time!!!"the white fairy cried as she nestled her glowing body against the bruised cheek of her companion. Link smiled gently and placed a hand against Navi, pressing her more against his cheek.

"Navi…You did well…thank you."he said.  Link then looked up at Dark Link and you as you rushed to his side.

"Link! Are you okay?"you ask. The male winced but nodded.

"Yeah..thanks to you guys..but…I have several broken bones I know.."he told you. You frowned and looked back at Dark Link as he approached.

"We gotta hurry up and get you outta here before more enemies come, along with those annoying skull children." Dark Link informed. You and Link both nodded but when Link tried to stand, he felt nothing but immense pain surge throughout his body, causing him to remain immobile.

"I can't get up…It hurts too much.."Link whined. You purse your lips and look up at Dark Link who sighed.

"You're gonna have to carry him."You tell your dark lover who groaned.

"Fine…But who's gonna defend us from enemies if I'm carrying Mr.Clumsy?"he asked, earning a sharp scorn look from Link. You on the other hand, smirked and picked up Link's sword that laid by his side out of his reach.

"Oh Silly Dark Link. DId you forget that prior to all this, I was a skilled bounty hunter."You said with a flirtatious wink that caused Dark Link to blush crimson and look towards the side.

"R-right…Well miss bounty. Lets hurry up and go."He said. Dark Link reached down and pulled Link up before slinging the poor boy over his shoulder.

"Ah. Hey! Be careful! That hurts!"Link growled.

"Oh shut up."Dark Link scowled back. You giggled as the two bickered and swung Link's sword over your shoulder. You walked ahead of the two with Helio floating by your side.

"It's been a while since I held a sword in my hands. It's almost like I had forgotten who I truly was without it."You tell him.

"Mmm, just like the old days huh?"He asked. You nodded with a smile.

"Yeah.." You sighed contently and looked back at Dark Link who was fighting with Link.

"Come on you two! Lets go!"You cheer as you run ahead.

"H-hey! Wait up!!"Dark Link called as he ran after you.

One by one, you sliced and slated the enemies that blocked your mouth out of the lost woods, humming as you did so. Dark Link watched you curiously. He hadn't seen you this lively since….

He frowned. Since the night he kidnapped you. Had he taken away that liveliness during that time he held you captive? Was he the reason you had nearly forgotten what you were in fact capable of? He watched you as you again slayed a monster.

"All gone and we're home free!!"You say, glancing back at Dark Link. However, upon seeing his frown, you do the same. "Something wrong?" Quickly, Dark Link shook his head.

"No, I'm fine. Everything's fine."He says, walking ahead of you. "Come on, lets go bring Link to Saria so she can look at him."

Without another word, Dark Link walked ahead through Kokiri forest with you trailing behind. Once the three of you made it to Saria's house, you were greeted by the worried girl. She let out a small shrill as Dark Link placed an injured Link down on the couch.

"Link! What happened?"The girl asked. Though he winced, Link managed to sit himself up enough to look at Saria.

"I fell out a tree in the Lost Woods. No big deal.."he told her. However you and Saria both pouted.

"No big deal! Link it's very dangerous to get injured in the lost woods!"you scold.

"Not to mention that you could become a skull kid if you stay in there long enough!"Saria added.Link frowned and his pointed Hylian ear drooped downwards slightly as he looked down, like a puppy being scolded by it's master or a child being scolded by a parent.

"Sorry…"he murmured. You and Saria both sigh in unison.

"It's okay Link…Now, lets get you fixed up!"Saria said as she took out her box of bandages and splints. You however, secretly keep Link's Master Sword behind your back, stepping slowly out the hut as Saria dragged Link's attention.

Yet you didn't go unnoticed by Dark Link, who watched you as you snuck out of the hut. He followed in secrecy, wondering where you could be going with Link's sword and at this time of night.

He watched as you wandered out of Kokiri forest and into Hyrule field with Helio at your side. You inhaled deeply as the field's scent entered your nose, bring back so many memories of when you would be in the field this late hunting for certain nightly enemies for a reward.

You took a moment to just stand there, remembering the fun you use to have with Helio though he was always on edge. You didn't realize til now how much you missed those times. Before you knew Dark Link, when your eyes were set on Link, money, and fighting. You walked over towards the river that led to Zora's domain and looked into your reflection.

But who were you now? What happened? Your fingertips brush by the pendant around your neck and you frown more. You fell in love with a demon. Thats what happened. A demon that changed you. No…You shook your head. He didn't change you…You just forgot for a bit, thats all.

Dark Link watched you from behind a tree, frowning. Had he changed you? If so, was it for the better or worse? Was it a good idea for you to fall for a demon like him? And for him to fall for you when it meant so many changes and consequences that could have been avoided easily.

He looked down and dug his fails into the bark of the tree. His read eyes seemed to glow and a burning sensation in his chest began to form.

You realize it now, don't you? All these changes..All these feelings you have that you can't understand that are forming deep within you, they're because of her. That silly choice you made to take her with you. The choice you made to keep her.Come on..dont you think you've toyed with your prey enough?

The voice in Dark Link's mind began to speak once more. He winced and grabbed at his smoke grey locks.

"S-shut up! She's not my prey…I love her.."he said.

Love? You? Hahaha! Don't make me laugh! You know what you are…a conniving little demon. No matter what you tell yourself, you're incapable of loving. Now, you've confused yourself and you don't know anything you feel. It's because of that girl. All of whats happened, it isn't love. It's obsession! You're obsessed with her…Obsessed with the power she possessed. The ability to stand up to you..Dont you remember? Thats why you kidnapped her in the first place! To make her bow. Well…..she's bowed. You've succeeded in pushing her onto her knees before you like a mutt. And now you have no use for her.

"S-stop it.."Dark Link fell to his knees and clutched his head tightly in hopes of drowning out the voice but he knew all too well that it was impossible to cease. The burning within his chest began to move up to the left half of his entire body. He looked over at his left hand and gasped when his saw the color of his skin going from porcelain white to pitch black. All motor function in that arm was gone as well. It seemed to be moving on its own.

"Stop!"He screamed, trying to grab his left arm with his right hand, but the burning feeling was surging faster now and consuming him. It was only a moment of time before half of his face was dark and consuming the rest.

If you can't finish the job…then let me do it for you! Dark Link stood, though it was no longer him controlling his actions. He began to approach you slowly. The last thing her remembered was seeing you turn around to look at him..then..Darkness.
