"Wimp!"

"Coward!"

"Loser!"

"You're such a weakling Armin!"

These words…These cruel words. Words that Armin heard every day of his life no matter where he went. He sighed deeply and looked up at the bright blue sky as he sat by the river, his knees cradled to his chest and his arms resting upon them in a crossed manner.

Why does everyone pick on me? Why do people look down on the ones they consider different? Is it really so wrong that I dream of a wallless world?  He thought to himself. Again, Armin sighed and closed his baby blue eyes, only to open them at a familiar voice.

"Armin?" As stated before, Armin's eyes opened and he looked up quickly as a girl with (h/l)(h/c) hair and dazzling (e/c) eyes came around the corner of a building wearing a smile on her face and a (f/c) dress with brown boots.

"__-_______. What are you doing here?"Armin asked her.

You smiled at Armin as you approached him. He was obviously surprised to see you, though you couldn't understand why. You were good friends, wouldn't it be natural to see each other often? Though it was rare you got to Armin alone since he was usually always at Eren and Mikasa's side.

"Hey Armin, I was actually looking for you."you tell him as you draw closer. Armin's eyes widen and a dusty pink covers his cheeks.

"M-Me? Why? Is something wrong?"he asked. You shook your head.

"No, actually I-"you stopped suddenly when you saw Armin's face. It was covered in scratches and bruises. You glanced at his clothes that were covered in dirt. You stopped and frowned. "Armin…did..somebody beat you up?"you ask him. Armin frowned and looked away from you, shaking his head.

"N-no..I fell…"he lied.

"Armin….who did it?"you ask quietly. Armin remained silent until you stomped your foot aggressively at him. "Armin! Tell me!!" The boy flinched at your tone and glanced up at you. He sighed, knowing there was no lying to you.

"It was the same three guys…"he told you. Armin suddenly gasped and scrambled to his feet at the sight of you suddenly storming away from him. He chased after you, calling your name and pleading with you to stop. "______ wait!! W-Where are you going!! Don't stoop to their level! _____!"

You muttered harsh words under your breath as you stomped through the village in search of the guys who assaulted your friend. You ignored Armin's pleas to stop.

It wasn't long before you found whom you were looking for. Three guys standing around in an alley. It was pointless to even describe them since they all looked the same after you arrived. The three men looked at you while you scowled at them.

"Ey! You guys just don't learn do ya! Leave Armin alone already!!"you shouted before charging at them. Armin flinched and covered his eyes as you tussled with the three men. All too soon, the three were piled up with bruises on their faces and bloody facial features. You wiped your hands and looked back at Armin who was staring at the ground.

A small smile appeared on your face once more as you approached him. "It's okay Armin, they won't mess with you anymore.."you tell him. But Armin said nothing. His body was trembling and his blue eyes were brimming with tears.

"Why? Why did you do that ______?"he asked quietly. You raised a brow at Armin's question. What did he mean why?

"I..I did it to protect you."you tell him. Your answer seemed to pain Armin since he flinched. He clenched his fists and looked directly at you.

"I didn't ask you to do that ______! I don't need you to protect me!"he shouted. You take a step back and frown.

"But Armin..I just…I'm sorry."you tell him. Armin sighed and looked down.

"I'm sorry ______…I just…I don't wanna be a burden! You, Eren, and Mikasa are always coming to my rescue. I'm just so….so weak!  I don't want you guys to keep protecting me!!"

"But Armin, you're not a burden!" Armin sighed and shook his head before running off. You didn't follow, knowing he needed his space. You sighed and stared down at your feet, why was Armin acting this way all of a sudden? Was it so bad that you strived to avenge him? Maybe it was. You were always doing that. Fighting his battles, beating up anybody so much as looked at him the wrong way. And maybe....maybe it was because you did that the bullies kept coming back. You sighed and though you said you wouldn't, you followed Armin until he stopped, leaning against a brick house. You didn't look directly at him as you stood before him.

"Armin....I'm sorry...You're right..I shouldn't do that but....but you're not a burden!"you shout bak at him looking up and staring him dead in the eye. "You're my friend! I'll have your back always! I'll always protect you because I...-" Blush spread across your cheeks as you look to the side. Armin stared at you with slight confusion.

"You what _____?"he asked.

"I..-"

"Armin! Hey Armin!!" Th boy who's name was being called, looked up quickly as another boy the same age  as the two of you approached from the distance. He were a determined smirk on his face brown hair blowing with the wind that brushed against his face and his green eyes were focused on Armin. This was Armin's best friend, Eren Jeager; an intelligent, brave yet somewhat reckless boy with a temper as short as himself. With him, tailed a girl with long black hair, and cold deep grey eyes. This was Mikasa Ackerman. She was practically Eren's shadow, following him wherever he went. She was also strong. Inhumanly strong. But you were just as strong. You were..you had to be.

You frowned and looked down at your feet as the two other young teens approached and stood by Armin. Eren smiled and nudged Armin's shoulder.

"There you are Armin! I've been looking all over for you!"The brunette exclaimed. Armin smiled at Eren and chuckled.

"Sorry..I've been here with ______. Who was just about to tell me something weren't you ______?"Armin asked, looking back at you. You shake your head.

"No..it wa nothing..forget about it. I'll see you later.."you reply, your words soft and barely audible. Your (h/c) hair covered your (e/c) eyes to mask the slight disappointment you felt. You always hung out with  Armin when you could but when Eren and Mikasa were around you just felt like the third wheel to them..well fourth wheel, either way you felt like the oddball out. However; as you turned to leave, you felt a hand grip your wrist firmly. Looking back, you saw that it was not Armin, but Eren grabbing you. His face was now changed from a once determined smirk to a somewhat serious yet sensible expression. 

"_______ don't go.."he said somewhat sternly yet in a way...pleading. Armin nodded along with Mikasa.

"Yeah _____. You always leave. Stay with us. Come on, please!"the blond pleaded. You look down then back at them.

"Alright."you reply. Eren smiled and Armin gleamed, walking over to take your other hand as Eren released you.

"So what shall we do today?"Eren asked, putting his hands behind his head.

"Well we could-"Armin began, but he was suddenly cut off by a loud rumbling that gained each of your's attention.

"What is that?"you wondered softly. Eren looked up and gasped, green eyes widening in denial of what he saw. You, as well as Armin and Mikasa look in the direction he was and freeze. You couldn't believe what you were seeing. The wall...No..Over the wall that stood more than 20ft high, was a large red head. The head of a titan. It was gigantic, just peering over the wall at every being that stood behind it.  Shortly after, came a loud  sound, as if something had hit the wall, and sure enough something had. The titan had kick a hole at the bottom of the wall leaving a huge open gap, big enough for the other titans to get in through.


It was only a few seconds before the first titan stepped in, leading an small army of more titans who devoured and destroyed everything in their pathway. You all stood their, frozen, unsure of what just happened or even what to do. Did that.....really just happen? Is the Village being flooded with titans? No, thats impossible, the wall is strong..and yet...so easily penetrated. The wall was broken. The titans were in. What now? The only thing you can do now is run and pray...Pray that you won't be devoured alive today.
